Manuscripts_____________________________________________________

1.   Should be addressed to the Editor, Dr. Nawaf Al-Mutairi, P.O. Box 280, Farwaniya, Kuwait. Fax: (+965)24808167, or send by e-mail gjdv@usa.net .

2.   Two copies of all elements of the paper are demanded. All the matter ought to be typed, double-spaced with wide margins, on one side of each sheet only.

3.    The paper should have the subsequent arrangement:

a.     Title page

b.      Abstracts

c.      Text

d.     References

e.     Legends

f.       Tables

g.     Figures

An Arabic language summary of the abstract and title, if possible, should be provided. The title page should contain the author(s), name(s), degrees, affiliation(s) and the address to which reprints are to be posted. The majority of submissions will require some degree of revision and continuing peer analysis prior to acceptance for publication.

 Authors should present two copies of the revised script - one of which should be highlighted to illustrate where changes have been prepared. Comprehensive responses to reviewers’ comments, in a covering letter, are also necessary. Revised manuscripts may be subject to additional peer review if suitable. The final conclusion on acceptability for publication lies with the journal editor.

Tables and Figures________________________________________________

1.    Refer to figures as Fig. and give Arabic digits.

2.    Present 2 copies of each photograph and drawing on glossy paper of good quality.

3.    Use black ink for charts (line drawings).

4.    Identify figures on back by author’s name and number of figure.

5.    Create tables at the top of new page.

1.   All references in text must be recognized by superscript Arabic digits in the order in which they appear in the document. When referring to a reference, type the last name of the author continued by its indication number. If referring to two authors, utilize both Last names, or else type the last name of the first author continued by “et al”.

 

2.   In Reference page, register the references in order of appearance in the document. When referring to a periodical type last name pursued by initials, heading of paper, periodical name abbreviated as in the original one, year of publication, volume, pages.  

3.     Type the entire authors if 3 or less; otherwise type the first 3 authors pursued by “et al”. e.g. Breathnach AS, Wyllie LM. Electron microscopy of melanocytes and melanosomes in freckled human epidermis. J Invest Dermatol 1964; 42:389-394. When referring to books, type name of author(s) (as above), title, version, place, publisher, year page referring to, e.g. Mckusick VA. Mendlian inheritance in man. 7th Ed. Baltimore: John Hopkins University, 1986: 1228. If the book has contributors, type the name of author(s), title, in: e&ors, title of book, place, publisher, year, page referred to e.g. Vickers CF. Topical corticosteroids. In: Fitzpatrick TB, Eisen AZ, Wolff K, et al. eds. Dermatology in general medicine. New York: McGraw – Hill, 1987: 2540-2545. 

If documents are prepared on IBM PC or compatible computer by means of word for windows, CD copy of the editorial will be appreciated by the publisher or it can be send by mail to GJDV@USA.NET.
